This kit fits the Nissan Titan from 2003 through 2015, covering every model year and every trim of the first-generation truck. Part number VDCNTITAN0507 from Vertical Doors, Inc. replaces the stock hinges so your factory doors open out and then swing up vertically, lambo style, while keeping the original doors on the truck.

The hinges are a direct bolt-on and mount to the Titan’s factory bolt pattern, and the conversion is reversible if you ever want the truck back to stock. The hardware is made in the USA from domestic hardened steel, and the hinge design is patented here as well. An instruction manual ships with the kit and VDI backs it with free tech support, but we still recommend having a professional installer do the work and follow those instructions step by step. One thing to know before you order: truck and SUV kits are non-refundable and non-exchangeable, so confirm your fitment first.

The door first swings out on the vertical pin, then lifts on the round bearing hub, and the gas shock holds it up: the two-stage motion in VDI's patent (US 6,845,547). Each kit has right and left hinge assemblies, two gas shocks, M8 bolts with washers, shoulder bolts and pins (VDI install manuals); set screw #2 and nut #1 adjust where the door closes. A typical kit, drawn from VDI's Crossfire manual: the plate, arm, brackets, shock and angles differ by vehicle, and each kit is made for its car.
