At its core this is a hinge swap. Kit VDCHA9093 from Vertical Doors, Inc. replaces the Accord’s stock door hinges with hardened steel units that let the doors open vertically instead of swinging out. It is a direct bolt-on design that mounts to the factory bolt pattern, and the conversion is completely reversible, so the car can be put back on standard hinges down the road if you ever change your mind.
