Description
Part number VDCSCIQ08 comes from Vertical Doors, Inc., the only company manufacturing vertical lambo door conversions in the USA, with more than twenty years behind the product. Every hinge is cut from domestic hardened steel and the design is patented. This kit is built specifically for the Scion iQ and fits all trims from 2008 through 2015.
The box carries the whole conversion:
- 2 Vertical Doors, Inc. lambo door hinges, one for each side
- 2 gas shocks
- All mounting hardware
Installation is a direct bolt-on job. The hinges mount to the iQ’s factory bolt pattern, and the whole conversion is reversible, so the car can go back to its stock doors whenever you want. An instruction manual ships in the box and VDI backs it with free tech support, but we recommend having a professional installer handle the work using those supplied instructions. Doors are the part of the car everyone touches, and getting the geometry right the first time is worth it. VDI can also point you to local, nationwide, or mobile installers if you need a shop.
