Description
This kit converts the stock doors of the Acura CL to vertical lambo doors by swapping out the factory hinges. Each replacement hinge bolts directly to the factory bolt pattern, so there is no cutting or welding on the body, and a gas shock on each side carries the weight of the door and controls its travel up and down. Vertical Doors, Inc. builds the hinges in the USA from domestic hardened steel, on a design patented here as well. The part number for this application is VDCACL9699.

Fitment covers every trim of the two-door CL across 1996, 1997, 1998, and 1999. Because the whole kit mounts to the stock hinge points, the conversion is fully reversible; remove it and the original hinges bolt straight back on. Each kit ships with an instruction manual, and Vertical Doors, Inc. backs it with free tech support, but we recommend having a professional installer do the conversion using the instructions supplied with the kit.
